Your first name, date of birth (we show only your age), city and area, bio, prompts, interests, values, lifestyle answers and who you would like to meet. This is used to build your profile and to suggest people you may be compatible with.

Photos you upload are stored securely and shown to other members on your profile. Your main photo appears alongside your name. You can delete photos at any time.

Messages, photos, voice notes, reactions and plan invitations you send are stored so that conversations work across your devices. Messages are visible to you and the member you are chatting with, and may be reviewed by our team when they are reported.

We use the city and area you provide to show distance and nearby members. Your exact address is never shown to other members.

Basic technical information such as browser type, device type and error reports, used to keep the app working and to fix problems.

Your email address, password (stored encrypted), sign-in method and account activity such as sign-ins and account changes.

Your membership status, start and renewal dates. Card details are handled by our payment provider — we do not store your full card number.

Your verification selfie and submitted photos are used only to confirm you are the person in your photos. They are reviewed by our verification team and are not shown on your profile.

Aggregated usage information — such as how many people use a feature — helps us improve KOOTANAH. We do not sell your personal information.

We send account and safety emails you cannot opt out of, such as confirmation and password reset emails. Any optional updates can be turned off from your notification settings or via the unsubscribe link.

We share information with the service providers who help us run KOOTANAH (hosting, storage, email delivery and payments), and where the law requires it or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety.

• Edit or remove your profile information at any time.
• Delete your photos individually.
• Delete your account from your profile — this permanently removes your profile, photos, likes, matches and messages.
• Request a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it, by contacting support.

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove it, except where limited retention is required by law or needed to resolve a safety report.
