You may only use KOOTANAH if you are 18 years or older and legally able to enter into this agreement. You may not use KOOTANAH if you have previously been removed for a breach of these terms, or if the law where you live prohibits it.

We may ask you to confirm your age at any time and may suspend accounts where we believe the account holder is under 18.

• You must give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
• One account per person. You may not sell, share or transfer your account.
• Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

• Your photos must show you and must be ones you have the right to use.
• You must not impersonate another person, use another person's photos, or create a fake or misleading profile.
• You must not upload someone else's private content.
• Do not include other people's personal information in your profile.
• We may remove profile content that breaches these terms or our Community Guidelines.

KOOTANAH does not lock you into a permanent relationship preference during registration. “Looking For Today” is a flexible, temporary intention that tells other members what you are open to right now. You can change it, or remove it, at any time, and intentions expire on their own.

Choosing an intention is not an agreement or promise to anyone. It never obliges you to meet, message or do anything with another member.

Generous Connections is not a marketplace for sexual services. KOOTANAH may not be used to facilitate prostitution or the exchange of sexual services for money or any other consideration.

Members connect when interest is mutual. We do not guarantee that you will receive matches, replies or connections, and we do not screen or endorse members. Compatibility scores are informational only.

• You are responsible for your own safety when you meet someone from KOOTANAH.
• KOOTANAH cannot guarantee another user's identity, intentions or behaviour.
• Meet in a public place, tell someone you trust where you are going, and arrange your own transport.
• Never send money or share financial details with someone you have met on KOOTANAH.

You must not use KOOTANAH to:

• harass, bully, threaten, stalk or intimidate anyone;
• scam, defraud, phish or solicit money from other members;
• share non-consensual intimate images, or any sexual content involving a minor;
• engage in sexual exploitation or human trafficking of any kind;
• facilitate prostitution or the exchange of sexual services for money or other consideration;
• post hate speech, incite violence, or discriminate against people;
• spam, advertise, recruit or promote other services;
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or age;
• scrape, copy, reverse engineer or interfere with the service or its security.

Serious breaches are removed immediately and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Messages between connected members may include text, photos, voice notes and plan invitations. Some conversations may use disappearing messages; a message that disappears from view may still be retained for a limited period for safety and moderation purposes.

Consent matters. Do not send sexual content to someone who has not asked for it, and stop contacting anyone who asks you to stop.

You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you upload. You give KOOTANAH a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, display and distribute that content only as needed to operate the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we must retain it for legal or safety reasons.

You confirm you have the right to upload everything you share.

You can report or block any member from their profile or chat. We review reports and may warn, restrict, suspend or remove accounts. We are not obliged to monitor all content, but we may review content where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

Verification asks you to confirm your email, upload photos of yourself and take a live selfie, which our review team compares to your photos. A verified badge means our team believed your photos show the same person as your selfie. It is not a background check, an identity guarantee, or a statement about a person's character or intentions.

• The subscription price is displayed before you purchase.
• The billing frequency is displayed before you purchase.
• Recurring subscriptions may renew automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel in line with the applicable subscription terms shown at purchase.
• Refunds and your consumer rights are subject to applicable law.
• Membership benefits may change; we will tell you before a material change.

Payments are handled by our payment provider. The price, currency, billing frequency and renewal terms shown to you at checkout apply to your purchase. We do not store your full card details.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control it.

KOOTANAH uses the city and area you provide to show distance and nearby members. Your exact address is never shown to other members. You can change or remove your location details in your profile.

The KOOTANAH name, logo, design, software and content are owned by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] or its licensors. You may not copy, modify or use them without written permission.

We work to keep KOOTANAH available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, be added or be withdrawn, and maintenance or technical issues may cause downtime.

You may delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, poses a risk to other members, or where required by law. Deleting your account removes your profile, photos, likes, matches and messages, subject to limited retention where the law requires it.

KOOTANAH is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that you will find a match, that members are who they say they are, or that any interaction will meet your expectations. We are not responsible for the conduct of any member, online or offline.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of KOOTANAH. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your rights under consumer protection law.

We may update these terms. When changes are material we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use KOOTANAH after that means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
